I don't know why but that's the only word running through my head right now! I think it's because my brain is SO overloaded and fried I can't even think anymore so my head just keeps replaying that one word over and over and over.... Phew! It's been a long day and i'm just putting off studying. For some reason bowel anastamosis and Lower Anterior Resections just aren't appealing to me right now. ( I wonder why right?? ) Anyway, I'm just going through random pictures and deceided to upload a few of my favorites for all to share. They just always seem to be able to make me smile. :) I'm SO looking forward to the ocean and the Gulf of Mexico! I'm having serious withdrawls and i'm about ready to jump out of my skin! This tends to happen after about 9 months after not seeing the ocean so it's definitely time for me to get my fix. Only 2 weeks now until it's sun and sand and margarita's by the pool! I can make it...

Oh Sweet Spring...

School has been EXTREMELY tough as of late and my days are being consumed with it. Not only do I not have time for all the things I want to do, I hardly even have time to sleep!! So on Saturday when Alys called me to see if I wanted to go ride, I of coarse jumped at the chance. Since my saddles are all at Still Waters (where Eryx my other horse is boarded) I had to ride bareback and I haven't ridden Sugar in a couple of months. They were really excited to get out and they did FABULOUS! They knew just where we were headed. We have this amazing place we go to ride in the summers at one of our neighbors. He has a forest of trees and a refuge for wild animals so it's like walking thru a little shrine to wildlife. There are insanely old Oak trees by the creek and we have a special little place that we always go and sit for a while. (It's a little glen by the 200 year old trees...it's beautiful.) Anyway, I remembered to bring my camera this time so we took pictures by our fav

My first Operating Room Experience...

My trip to the surgical hospital was one of the best mornings I’ve had as of late. Although it started off rather early for me, I got into the swing of things rather quickly and the morning seemed to just fly by. (I think it helped that my morning started with a GREAT breakfast J ) Cassie was great and let us pick our own partners and even choose the case we wanted to observe. Amy and I decided to partner up and we chose to watch a shoulder scope/possible rotator cuff repair. We preformed our medical hand wash, donned our mask and hair-catcher and booties, and were ushered in to the beautiful O.R. suite. Pictures really don’t do justice to describe the rooms…they really are just incredible. Everything is so NEW and state-of-the-art! Brooke was the circulator for O.R. #8 on Thursday and she was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! She was the first person we were introduced to and to be honest, she’s the only person whose name I can remember because she was the o

FINALLY getting back to the blog 2 weeks later!

So! I know it's been FOREVER since i've blogged and my apologies! :) Dan and I have been house-sitting a ranch (Still Waters Ranch) and were watching around 35 horses, 2 dogs and a bunch of cats...needless to say we were a bit busy! We started the day of my last final of school and just got done last night and i've just not had the time to blog or show any pictures until today. We had a great time and everything ran smoothly other than a few minor glitches like naughty horses and automatic waters that deceided to over run! :) Anyway, it's nice to get back home and get back into the swing of things. I just took on a few more clients and i'm working with their horses now in additon to the Hudson's horses. I'm going to be working with a horse named Tumnus to help him learn how to jump...he's a WONDERFUL little guy and I like to call him "tum-tum" :) I'm also still riding a jumping horse for a girl who had to have surgery and hasn't
