In the Rockies!

the gingerbread village made by: Dan, Alyssa, Ben and Emily. he's KINDA a nut... ummm....my favorite thing of ALL time...Godiva Hot Cocoa with chocolate dipped pretzels...can't beat it!!! We even had steamed milk from Alyssa's espresso machine! :-) oh sissys.... Well, i'm writing this "blog-date" (my version of an update! :-) from the base of the majestic Rockies in Denver, CO! We drove out this morning after i gave a riding lesson (a little chilly!) with my parents and sister. We stopped at a friend of the families house and now we're in a SUPER fancy Super 8! (NOT!) LOL! oh well, at least our condo in Summit County is nice! :-) We're going to head up the mountains in the morning and stay for about a week...I'm really looking forward to some fresh powder and hot cocoa with a little rum! :-) We've been running around like crazy the last two weeks getting ready for Christmas etc.,.. and this is going to be a nice break. IT'S DECEMBER!!!

Oke, i know it's been a really long time since i've blogged and i'm sorry! :-) since the last blog, i've been to Germany, the Netherlands and back! The trip with my grandpa was INCREDIBLE and we had a FABULOUS time...it was amazing. We flew into Dusseldorf and stayed in Germany for a few days. We then took a train to Maastricht, Netherlands (the oldest Dutch town in the Netherlands) and we stayed there for 2 days until our friends, the Hendrix's, picked us up. Maastricht was BEAUTIFUL and by far my favorite city we were in. The Maas river runs through the middle of it and the whole town was decorated for Christmas already...quite beautiful! Niek and Marian came and picked us up and we stayed with them for the rest of the trip. They have an AMAZING house in Opsel and we felt immediately at home with them. (it helped me that they had a black lab "Tommie" who was an instant good friend :-) The whole reason of the trip was for a monument dedication for a man i
