"We'll go fishin' in the dark, lyin' on our backs and watchin' the stars..."

Image
So last night (Friday) turned out to be one of the best nights of the summer so far! We went fishing at Damon's place with Damon, G, Dan and myself. Some Swisher-Sweet cigars, a few cold ones, and poles.....we had a BLAST! We didn't have much luck in the fish department (Ok Ok, I didn't have any luck!) But we had a great time hangin' out under the full moon and starlit sky. It was fantastic! And Dan actually caught a big fish! Go Danny Boy! :-) G's weighing Dan's fish here... The "Big Catch" All the boys (and Koda of coarse!) Koda and I decided to sleep in the back of the golf cart after no luck...he's a great pillow/warmer! :-)

Alright everyone! I'm OFFICALLY in the hospitals now...yeay!!! (and also a big UGGHH!) I don't think i've been this tired in QUITE a long time. I don't know how these Dr.'s do it I really don't! Anyway, I have to turn in a "journal" entry to my instructor once a week about my "experience" in the O.R. over the past week. The following is what I've written and I think it'll give you a glimpse of my past week: (Note* I've changed names of the people and Dr.'s) Jon-Instead of writing about each day seperately, i'm going to just write about my overall, general feelings and thoughts about our first week in the hospital.AMAZING!!!!This is the first word that discribes my emotions about this week. I don't think i've ever been this interested in something, EVER. I am incredulous at the O.R. staff and ecspecially the doctors. Everyone seems to work together SO efficiently...they work like a ...

Well! I've really been enjoying my vaca from school (hence the no blog postings lately..Sorry!) and i'm really bummed to have to go back on Monday. I've been enjoying my horse-time every day and NOT having to study! Oh well, it'll all be over in about 8 months... yeay ! :-) Here's a few pictures of our " shinanigans " over the last few weeks... That's right...I'M REALLY HOLDING MY OWN FISH!!! but Damon was so kind as to take it off the hook for me! ;-) And please notice that Dan's fish is MUCH smaller than mine! (Actually, Damon and Greg told me how to hold my fish to make it look bigger in the picture...it's really about the same size as Dan's it just looks much bigger :-) Ha! Anyway, hope everyone is having a great summer thus far, Adio's for now!

Phew...

I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long!! I've just been way too busy to write anything let alone work on my blog. Anywho... Boy am i glad that school is over for a month! I think i was about ready to lose my mind! I just finished school for the "spring" term and am enjoying no school and all day outside. I am now up to 6 horses that i am working with and i'm enjoying it IMMENSELY . I am kinda bummed however that it WON'T quit raining!!! My riding lessons keep getting canceled and i'm tired of having to clean up super-muddy horses every day. I think that it should really stop now. It IS the middle of june after all.... Dan and I just got done watching Still Waters Ranch again for about a week. We had a good time except for the first night there we were stuck in a bathroom in the basement waiting out a tornado threat (crappy old NE tornados) I sat under a sink wrapped up in a comforter and the two great danes, rat terrier and shitz zhu sat ...

Home From The Beach!!!

Beautiful Epcot at night.... At Conference...bottom and top... Amy, Cassie, Joey, Me and Amber... Sanibel Island Lighthouse... Sanibel Island...Gulf of Mexico Magic Kingdom... At the Resort.... Aloha!! We are officially home from the coast and already missing the salty sea air. (I don't miss the humidity however :) We had a fabulous time and enjoyed all the "tasties" of the sea including raw oysters on the half shell and shrimp and fresh gulf fish. YUMMMMMMMMY! We had good flights down to Orlando and didn't have any delays to speak of. The villa's at the resort that we stayed at were AMAZING with amenities including a whirlpool tub in our bedroom and three massive pools around the resort. We went to Disney for two days then to Cocoa Beach on the Atlantic side and then Sanibel Island on the Gulf side. We had a wonderful time picking up shells at Sanibel (which is the sea shelling capital of the WORLD!) and brought lots of beautiful conch es, oyster and snail...
