My trip to the surgical hospital was one of the best mornings I’ve had as of late. Although it started off rather early for me, I got into the swing of things rather quickly and the morning seemed to just fly by. (I think it helped that my morning started with a GREAT breakfast J ) Cassie was great and let us pick our own partners and even choose the case we wanted to observe. Amy and I decided to partner up and we chose to watch a shoulder scope/possible rotator cuff repair. We preformed our medical hand wash, donned our mask and hair-catcher and booties, and were ushered in to the beautiful O.R. suite. Pictures really don’t do justice to describe the rooms…they really are just incredible. Everything is so NEW and state-of-the-art! Brooke was the circulator for O.R. #8 on Thursday and she was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met! She was the first person we were introduced to and to be honest, she’s the only person whose name I can remember because she was the o...
So right now i'm supposed to be studying, but I just can't concentrate anymore!! TOO MANY TESTS! I had three tests last week, four this week, three finals next week and my return demonstration, and then my LAST final on the 17th. Yeah, i'm pretty much going crazy. :) So, i deceided to take a break and vent about it on my blog. I suppose it doesn't help that it's cold, bleary and dreary outside either. I LOVE snow, but i am definitely ready for spring now...Nebraska winters just don't know when to quit! I do however have one good thing to look forward to this week. My friend Sarah and i get together every friday and "craft". Last week I made napkins and a hat for Dan. It was a VERY productive day and we always have a great time. Anyway, we are going to make wreathes this friday and I'm really excited to have a new spring uplift for my front door. I'll blog the pictures when we're finished. :) OKEY DOKEY, back to studying now....
Sarah's wreath to the left and the bag she made for me below... My tulip and iris wreath... ...And finished!! :) Friday is one of the best days of the week. Not only do I not have to work on Fridays, but I get to hang out with my best friend Sarah for most of the afternoon. We have "crafting" sessions and always seem to come up with fun things to make or do. Last week, we made floral wreaths and they turned out AMAZING! Here are some of the pictures I took of our "craftiness"! :) The blue and white Hydrangea wreath is the one that Sarah made...it turned out beautiful! The yellow Tulip and purple Japanese Iris wreath I made for my friend Ashley's birthday because she LOVES yellow. And the last picture is of the bag that Sarah made for me...She made it by hand!! Isn't it great?
